Tom Cruise Made Me a 70% Believer
I finished the pre-panel inkwork on I Need to Go, [info]arachnerd's story dream. The blank spot is the title/credits panel.

Don't look at it if you don't like to see illustrated, digitally-penetrated pussy.

Me neither *shrug*, nor am I Nontheist (30%).

But at least you're completely off the Witness Radar of Jehovah.

Weeeeeee! That was a lot of me clicking not-applicable. I am not surprised that I am a nontheist. Some of us nontheists call ourselves atheists. But apparently there isn't a difference between agnostics and athesists!

Cool - you got me thinking too much - I was rationalizing agnosticism as *possibly nontheistic*.

Oh jeez - can you believe I googled "enigmatic atheism"? lulz

WOA. Okay. So now I have to go google it.

Boring. Atheist doctrine is boring. People are so obsessed with rules and order, it can't be enough to not believe in something, I have to join a club of people who don't believe in the same thing.

It's fucking ridiculous.

I need an eyeroll icon. I am about to make one RIGHT NOW.

Exfuckingzactly! As soon as there became a congregation & rules to adhere to, Atheism became a religion without a god.

In fact, they should differentiate between Atheism (the pure meaning) & Atheismism. Hmmm... there's a story here that needs to be told...

Oh, & since there is no Enigmatic Atheism, you could be the first! Perhaps it could be defined as atheism, but ungrumpy or very-nearly-cheerful?

That almost makes me wanna give up my beliefs.

Do not trade your beliefs for nonbeliefs. You cannot add to an empty set, or so [info]shpydir tells me. I know shit about math.

I discovered there is such a thing as post-atheism, as well? From this google search.

Is this like post-post feminism? Or post-modern? Can I be post post[...]? Because I think I am?

How do you post a lack of an idea?

PS, nontheism? Agnostics can have some deity action going on. Some can be pagans or Buddhist or some other ist.

I would never found an areligion around akirstin. That would go against my secular laziness.

Ah, but that assumes two things - that a belief is either a set &/or empty. Given my current beliefs, I think I should be able to subtract from what already exists. I have no problem choosing to forcefully subtract snot from my nose when I have a cold or allowing subtraction in the form of a flow of urine when I'm drinking, so why can't I subtract belief?

Funny how I equate my faith with being sick & drunk. lol

In addition (uh-oh - more math), from my current perspective I assume that belief has substance that can be subtracted from. Just as what we call matter could be interpreted as antimatter from the POV of an antimatter universe that considered itself made of matter, I posit that my belief could in fact be completely empty & could theoretically only be filled with non-belief. But now I'm making an Atheist's argument (or an Atheismist's argument - see my most recent post) for him/her.

The prefix *post* (it's not supposed to be hyphenated, according to the online dictionaries & wikipedia) means reacting against what came before. In the arts (painting, sculpture, literature), Postmodernism reacts against Modernism (note that *late* Modernism continues to be expressed). There isn't an official definition for Postfeminism, but the term translates the same way - it's the time & societal mindspace after Feminism peaked (which is arguable, but probable - we usually don't know about *now* until 20 years or so have passed).

KEEP YOUR DAMN MATH IN YOUR PANTS

I would say the sexual revolution peaked (climaxed? Yeah?) but to say feminism peaked would be ignoring current events and the efforts of multiple grass roots activist organizations (at least, in the US). But I can argue this crap until the sun goes down and up and down and up again. It's damn exhausting.

definition of post-feminism in a wikipedia article.

To use post as a prefix in Latin, you wouldn't hyphenate (Roman's didn't have punctuation or spaces between words. Or a W). But in modern writing, many fields are comfortable hyphenating (Religious studies, sociology, psychology, etc., etc.)

The point of saying I'm post post-feminism or post post-atheism or postpostfeminism or postpostatheism is to say that I'm reacting to the idea of post-feminism or post-atheism. Because it's funny! The way fields make up new words by adding a psuedo latin prefix instead of using a word that's already established for that genre/topic/movement? Regodamndiculous. And that is a brilliant infix.

Oh, okay. I see why you explained all those posts to me. I wasn't actually asking what post-feminism, post-modernism, or post-atheism is; I was trying to be amusing. I'm fairly comfortable with those topics ;) I just find our love for the post to be completely ignorant.

MATHS ARE MOST APROPOS IN THE PANTS: SIZE MATTERS... sometimes

I can only hope feminism hasn't peaked, despite all the essays I read to the contrary. Until there's not only pay equity but an acceptance of the profession of homemaker as a valid choice for a feminist, then feminism - or Feminism - won't have finished it's job, a necessary one.

And, geez - what's with all the hyphens? First-wave, second-wave, third-wave, post-, French, liberal, radical, cultural, separatist, anti-pornography, sex-positive, black, postcolonial, third-world, multiracial, Socialist, Marxist, anarcha-, individualist, eco-, post-structural and postmodern feminism. That was a fuckin' mouthful.

Sub-genring is what ruined rock'n'roll.

Yeah, I didn't mean to come off as lecturing, so I guess I whoopsied - apologies.

I think we should go back in time & invent the W, incorporate, trademark it, then charge the Germans a royalty for all the Vs they mispronounce.

ooOOoo! My virgin experience with the *infix* as a term! Hallefuckinglujah!
